Welcome to our home...
A beautiful, historic, Southern home for business, social and special
occasions.
The Braselton-Stover House is a beautiful southern estate making it an ideal setting
for receptions, weddings and special occasions. The home features a large inviting wraparound front and side porch with wicker rockers for resting and reminiscing. As
you enter the house you are greeted by newly restored heart pine floors, period
furnishings and a gracefully curved staircase in the spacious front foyer. Each room with its twelve-foot ceiling and antique mantel and fireplace is beautifully decorated, requiring very
few if any additional decorations for your special occasion.
An eight-column pergola, nestled among the pecan trees, also offers a picture
perfect setting for weddings. For larger functions, the home has an open backyard
to accommodate a tent that can be weather proofed and heated.
The house was built in 1916 by Green Braselton, the second son born to the
town's founder, William Harrison Braselton. It had remained in the family until December2000, when Mary and Marvin Stover purchased the home and restored it to its
current beauty and charm. The home has almost a hundred years of warm memories and
is registered with the National Registrar of Historic Places.
It is located at 5257 Highway #53 in historic downtown Braselton
1/2 mile off 1-85 (Exit#129), just 45 minutes from downtown Atlanta, 15 minutes north of the Mall of
Georgia and 3 miles north of Georgia's premier winery. Chateau Elan. You are invited to
