HOUSE RULESThe client is responsible for payment of all invoices in accordance with the rental agreement and is the only individual authorized to give instructions to the staff. Food and drink are allowed in the public areas only. No food or drink is allowed in the parking areas. No food containing mayonnaise or mustard of drinks with color may be consumed in the bride’s dressing room to avoid stains to furnishings. Candles, used for decorative purposes, must be enclosed in hurricane globes. Nothing may be taped, nailed, tacked, screwed, stapled, glued or attached with other adhesives to the walls, ceilings, moldings, door or window frames, window treatments, furniture or chandeliers. Due to the beautiful décor, very few floral and/or greenery arrangements may be needed. Check with the staff for recommendations. All rental equipment, decorations, floral arrangements and greenery supplied by the client must be removed immediately following the event unless the staff has given prior approval. For the safety of our clients and their guests, we do not allow the use of birdseed, confetti, potpourri, rice, silly string or sparklers for wedding departures. For alternatives, please ask the staff for suggestions and approval. Nothing may be used inside the house. Loud music is not permitted in the house or on the grounds. The volume of electrically amplified instruments must be kept down with no more than two small amplifiers. The staff is permitted to instruct the band to lower the volume or shut down. A piano is available in the main hall, at no extra charge, but may not be moved because of potential damage to the floors. Please do not set beverages on the piano. Children are not allowed to play with the piano. Changes may not be made to the outside planters without prior, written permission. Caterer or client is responsible for removing all articles brought onto the premises during the event. The Braselton-Stover House cannot assume responsibility for items left by caterer, florist, musicians/DJ, photographer, guests or client. No household furniture or furnishings may be moved or removed without prior permission from the staff and must be returned to its’ original place after the event. Staff must personally supervise movement. No large furniture may be moved including the large urns outside the front entry. You may schedule (3) three meetings at The Braselton-Stover House prior to your event, at no charge. Meetings should be no longer than 1 hour unless previous arrangements have been made with a staff member. Additional meetings may be scheduled for $75.00 an hour. If you have reserved The Braselton-Stover House for your wedding/reception, there is no additional charge for a wedding rehearsal or a bridal photo sitting if the facility has not already been previously rented. The client should inquire about space availability for rehearsals or photo shoots at the time the application is submitted. On hour is allotted in each case. There is no guarantee that the evening before a wedding will be available for the rehearsal. The Braselton-Stover House reserves the right to insist that the client, florist, DJ/musicians, guests and photographer leave the premises per the contract agreement. An hourly rate of $250.00 will be implemented for overtime. You will be charged a full hour for any portion of time beyond the scheduled rental period. All evening functions must be over at 11:00pm and the premises vacated by 12:00 midnight. Smoking is permitted outside only. Sand urns are provided. No smoking
is allowed anywhere inside The Braselton-Stover House, including
the bathrooms.
ALCOHOLIC CONSUMPTION CATERER'S RESPONSIBILITIES Caterers will supply the necessary equipment such as dishes, pots, utensils, knives, cloth and paper towels, storage bags, foil, garbage bags and detergent, etc. for the catering jobs. It is the caterer’s responsibility to make sure that all food and paper items are tightly sealed before discarding into the designated trashcans located outside. Please do not dump anything onto the grounds. To avoid sink clogging, absolutely no food or bulk items should be emptied into the sinks. The caterer’s staff should collect all rented items such as glassware and silverware throughout the event. If necessary, the caterer should have trays stationed around rooms to eliminate accumulation of dirty plates, cups and etc. on furniture and fireplace mantels. Spills must be cleaned up immediately from furnishings and floors. No red beverages, wines, or sauces may be served due to potential staining of furnishings. Caterers are responsible for cleaning the kitchen (sinks, counter tops and oven) and mopping the floor after the event. Caterers are responsible for any damages to kitchen equipment due to misuse and abuse. Bars may be set up either of back or side porch and must have a protective covering under and around ice chests to prevent water from dripping onto the wooden floors. Bars must be attended at all times. No pouring by client or their guest is allowed. No beer kegs inside house. *Be sure to give your caterer a copy of these responsibilities. |
