History
 The Braselton-Stover House, circa 1916, is one of three
houses built by the Braselton family; all on Green Street. Green
Braselton, the second son of the founder of Braselton, commissioned
architect J. Frank Morefield of Gainesville, Georgia to design this
house. All of the woodwork and framing is original and was produced in
the family lumber company.The house, with 10 bedrooms and 13 fireplaces, was home to eight children. The youngest, Kit Braselton, was born in 1922 in what is now the study. There are 85 years of happy Braselton memories here, from Christmas and birthday celebrations, to Easter egg hunts on the lawn, to a wedding in the parlor in 1934. In 2000, Mary and Marvin Stover discovered and fell in love with this house. After 24 years experience in planning and producing beautiful weddings, they knew it would be the perfect setting, not only for weddings, but for many other social or business occasions. Mary and Marvin are excited about sharing the happy spirit of this house with others.
